Fred, was like a grandfather to me growing up, and I will always cherish the memories of the times we spent together. I realize no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, but please know that we are thinking and proying for you. Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back on all of your fond memories of Fred comfort you now and into the future.

You must feel very proud to have been the children of such wonderful parents! And believe me, those two parents. were the proudest of their two daughters! We feel so priviledged to have been their friends.and so happy to have met the two of you. Our love and prayers are with you in this time of sadness!

Fred was one of the "old hands" when I joined NDE in 1972. We shared some good times together. He will be fondly remembered

To Fred's family-Fred was one of the first NDE staff members I worked with when I became Sped Director in Beatrice in 1978. He was a willing mentor who always was reassuring to a novice. Besides giving good information, Fred usually would follow up with a joke or amusing observation about the world around him. Now I'm working at NDE and still hear "Fred Bieck" stories. The last time I saw Fred was at his retirement party--loking tan and relaxed at Pine Lake! My best to you all.
