Obituary of Edmond Charles Gorman

Gorman, Edmond, 92, of Sun City Center, Fla passed away November 18, 2009. He was born October 16, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of Charles and Suzanne (Roure) Gorman. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired as owner of the Edmond C. Gorman Insurance Agency. He was an usher at Prince of Peace Catholic Church for 20 years and was a member of the Lions Club for over 60 years where he received the Melvin Jones Award. Survivors include his wife, Marie, five daughters, Aileen Gorman, Diane (Peter) Palmento, Gisele (John) Parker, Kathy Lofurno and Ann (Jud) Gittelman, a sister, Jeanette (Henry) Johnson, 8 Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church; Sun City Center, Fla. Burial will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sun City Center Lions Club or LifePath Hospice, 3755 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, Fla 33573
