Obituary of Loe Peeples McInnes

McInnes, Loe Peeples, 93, of Sun City Center, Fla passed February 9, 2012. She was born in Luray, SC on December 4, 1918. She was a 1937 graduate of Estill High School in Estill, South Carolina. She worked one year in the operating room at Wesley Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. She served in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps as an Ensign during World War II and retired in 1945 from active duty in the Naval Reserve with the rank of a full Lieutenant Naval Nurse. She retired after 20 years of service as a registered nurse in the Labor and Delivery Room at St Vincent's Hospital and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Jacksonville, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Thursa Peeples, three brothers, James, Horace and Bryan Peeples, and two sisters, Bessie Peeples and Alice Strickland. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, William and Teresa McInnes and three nephews. Graveside services will be held at Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill, South Carolina.
