Obituary of Joseph John Pietrobono

Joseph John Pietrobono 87, died peacefully with his family by his side on November 20, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife, Myra Pietrobono; and is survived by his daughters Diane Pietrobono Eggert and Joann Votelink: son Joseph Pietrobono, Jr. and grandchildren Jessica Palmer-Jeffery, Laura Garvey and Michael Votelink. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and a Florida resident for over 60 years. He served in the Coast Guard from 1942 to 1946 and took part in the battle of Normandy, Salerno, Sicily and South of France. He retired from Sears after working 30 years as a carpet salesman. He was an active member of Sun City Center United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing poker with his buddies, watching football and baseball and he loved the joy of cooking. A memorial service will be held at Sun City Center United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10 am. Arrangements are by Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, FL. In lieu of flowers, you may send a donation to the American Heart Association.
