Bernhardt, Norman Howard, 78 of Sun City Center, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Cypress Creek Assisted Living. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 30, 1932, Norman was a retired Program Support Representative employed by IBM. Norman was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of St. John the Devine Episcopal Church East Campus, Sun City Center Volunteer Emergency Squad was a member for 10 years and the last 5 years he was a Captain, Men's Club and was Director of Transportation in Beaver Creek, Ohio for the Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include his wife Rosemary S. Bernhardt of Sun City Center, son Ted (Stacey) Bernhardt of Suwanee, GA, step son Louis Smelser of Scottsville, KY a granddaughter Ashley Bernhardt. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at St. John the Devine Episcopal Church East Campus at 1:30 P.M. Interment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fl.
