Obituary of Alan La Torre

Alan A. La Torre, 81, of Sun City Center, Fla passed away June 12, 2011. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Korean Conflict and retired as a commercial postal account representative for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center Mens Club, Poker Club and St. Louis Club and a volunteer for the Sun City Center Emergency Squad. Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Sandra La Torre, two sons, Michael (Denise) La Torre and Mark (Denise) La Torre, a daughter, Lisa Kulage, a step daughter, Pam Taylor, a step son, Ken Mosher, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Boulevard, Sun City Center, Fla. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sun City Center Emergency Squad, 720 Ray Watson Drive, Sun City Center, Fla or LifePath Hospice, 3723 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, Fla 33573.
