Obituary of Paul E. DeLaat

DeLaat, Paul E., 73, of Sun City Center, Fla passed away May 10, 2010. He retired as a mechanical engineer for Reliance Electric in Euclid, Ohio. After retirement, he worked as general manager for Cleveland Motion Control.Currently, he was consulting for Magna Electronics in Rochester Hills, MI. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Sun City Center Men's Club and a volunteer and Day Captain for the Sun City Center Security Patrol. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl DeLaat, his sisters, Sister Maria Deo Gratias and Joyce Yerick, his brothers, Jack, Leonard, Donald, Robert, and Richard DeLaat. Survivors include his wife, Patricia, five children, Karen (Chuck) Sasser, Dennis P. (Jeannie) DeLaat, Gordon P., (Michelle) DeLaat, Kelly (Bill) Gheres, and Douglas P. DeLaat, two step children, Laura Stell and Robert Stell, a brother, Larry (Marlene) DeLaat, three sisters, Audrey Newlin, Carol Siepka and Barbara Caniglia and 12 grandchildren.
