Obituary of Bertha Landis Luxton

Luxton, Bertha L., 80, of Sun City Center Fl. went to be with the Lord August 25, 2009. She was formerly of Newtown, PA and retired to Florida in 1984. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Sun City Center, an avid bowler with the WIBC Senior League in Brandon, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Ruskin. She is survived by Floyd, her devoted husband of 61 years; four daughters, Shirley (Dave) Sadowl; Gladys (Jonathan) Stiner; Kathy (Jack) Byron and Sharon Tyrell; a brother, James (Elaine) Stover; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Andy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 6:30 P.M. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, FL. Interment at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fla.
