Obituary of Kenneth R. Monroe

Monroe, Kenneth R., 96, of Sun City Center, Fla. passed away June 24, 2008. He had a distinguished career in the US Department of State, the US Army and as a Small Claims Court judge in Seminole County, Fla. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, a life member of Jordan Lodge, No. 1339, A.F. & A.M, Ammon, Jordan; Past Supreme Watchman of Shepherds of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. He received a BBA degree from Florida International University as part of its first graduating class. He is preceded in death by a son, James R. Monroe and his wife, Ruth R. Monroe. He is survived by his spouse, Delores (Dee), two sons, Kenneth R. (Renee) Monroe, Jr. and Daniel R. (Jennifer) Monroe and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Monday, June 30, 2008 at Sun City Center Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Florida 33573. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 701 Valley Forge Boulevard, Sun City Center, Fla. 33573.
