I attended the Vision Program at Kutztown 1982-1985. Mr. Lasky was a force to be reckoned with as a teacher, a wonderful mentor, and a true friend. What he taught about the field of vision as well as life continues to have a profound influence on my life. Harry, as you often reminded us, you were, and always will be, "One of the Greats!"

I attended Kutztown University (Kutztown State College during those years) from 1979-1983. Mr. Lasky was my teacher, mentor, friend, and father away from home. His whole attitude about life, and teaching the blind and visually impaired are lessons I will never forget. He was one in a million, and my life has been blessed having known him. Here's to you Mr. Lasky!!! Karen Smith

I attended the Vision Program at Kutztown University 1980-1984. Harry was a wonderful teacher and mentor. His legacy will live on with the many teachers he trained and the students they teach.

I had the privilege of working with Harry for seven years at Kutztown University in my role as dean of the College of Education. He was among the most popular professors on campus and served as director of the program for preparing teachers to teach the visually impaired. He was devoted to his students and also provided guidance to all the faculty in ways to better serve visually impaired undergraduate students. My only regret that I never took Harry up on his offers to give me golf lessons... another passion of his. His wonderful smile, wit and caring manner always made me feel good even on rainy days and when times were challenging.

Our deepest condolences to Clara Mae and family. There are many vision teachers and their students all across the USA who are successful and leading rich fulfilling lives due to Harry's excellence in teaching at Kutztown University. He will be missed.
