Obituary of William Reid Buhl

Buhl, William Reid, CLU, 95. Born July 7, 1913, raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and was the oldest child of Alice Mary Reid and William Buhl. Bill died peacefully in his home in Sun City Center, FL on February 3, 2009. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and worked as a financial manager for Equitable Life Assurance Society for over 50 years. His hobbies included travel, reading, and swimming. Well loved by all and sadly missed, he is survived by his beloved wife, Francine, daughter, Bonnie (David) Engstrom, step-daughter, Nancy Haines, sister, Winifred Ruth Buhl Teare, grandchildren, Loren, Brian and Dana, 5 great-grandchildren, and nephews and nieces Carl, Alan and Arlene. A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sun City Center, FL on Saturday, February 14 at 2:30PM. Donations may be made to Hospice.
