Obituary of Donald G. Maltby

Donald G. Maltby,81,of Sun City Center, Fla passed away August 13, 2011.He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and had a distinguished 41 year career as a Transportation Manager at Nabisco Foods in New York and New Jersey. He retired to Sun City Center in 1994. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and past president of the Kings Point Chorus. He was a member of the Barbershop Quartet and Prince of Peace Church Choir. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Anna Maltby, his first wife, Louise Maltby along with his brothers, Raymond and Joseph. He was a beloved, devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Sharon, four children, Donald, Laurie Ann, Beth, and Laura, four grandchildren Tyler, Colin, Mitchell and Emily, and his brother, Edwin. Don loved and lived life through family, music and friends. He will be missed by all. The family will receive friends from noon to 3p.m., Monday, August 15, 2011 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 16650 S. US Highway 301, Wimauma, Fla.
