Obituary of David P. Hughes

David Hughes, 68, of Sun City Center, Fla and formerly of Akron-Canton, Ohio passed away July 19, 2010. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jayme Cope and his son, David P. Hughes, III. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Sun City Center, Fla, granddaughter, Nancy Cope and son in law, Arley Cope both of Hamilton, Ohio, a sister, Darlene (Ted) Edwards of Port St Lucie, Fla, mother in law, Vickie Pietz of Sun City Center, Fla, three sisters in law, Pamela Kerstetter of Apollo Beach, Fla, Penny Dierickx of Raleigh, NC and Tammy (Mark) Meier of Highlands Ranch, CO and several nieces and nephews and many loving family members. A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. Inurnment with Military Honors at North Canton Cemetery, North Canton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Susan G. Koman Foundation.
