I am so amazed at the memories shared here, some so similar, some identical from one man, my Uncle Bob. He truly left his mark on many and we will be better for it! What a great Uncle! Love and prayers to all who called him Uncle!
If I may leave the lyrics to a song that I love, it says it all!
Gone Too Soon
Music by Larry Grossman
Lyrics by Buz Kohan ("Buzzie Wuzzie")
Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon
Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon
Shiny and sparkling
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night
Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon
Like a castle
Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon
Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night
Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon
Gone too soon

I will always remember Uncle Bob as being a true gentleman. He met everyone with a warm smile, a pleasant salutation, and a great conversation. He was meticulous in has actions and thoughtful and gentle in his words with everyone. When Grampa was sufferning through his decline, he and Auntie would take Gramma and Grampa on wonderful day trips to who knows where and always have a great time. I will miss his laugh and his stories.

Dear Aunt Marie, Joe, Soni and Bob,
"Uncle Bob" meant more to our family than words can say, and he will be greatly missed.
Aunt Marie, I will always cherish the memory of the day I spent with you and Uncle Bob in Florida, just enjoying one another's company. What I remember most is Uncle Bob offering a prayer before our lunch--so heartfelt and sincere. We have lost a good man, and yet we know there's rejoicing right now in Heaven.
May God send you comfort and strength in all the days ahead. It is never easy to cut earthly ties--but we know through Christ, we have the assurance that Uncle Bob is now enjoying God forever. We will one day know the joy of seeing him again.
All my love,
Gina

Memories of Bob Golden
He was a great brother and so easy to love. He lived a life that was most pleasing in every way to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and one can ask for no more. We loved him dearly and his soft and gentle words and manners will be severely missed.
Know that he is now with our Heavenly Father helps us ease our loss. What we have forever now are the wonderful memories of his life he had while he was with us. He loved my dear sister, Marie, and his beautiful children, Joseph, Sondra and Bob Jr. as well as his daughter in law Elaine and the many grandchildren and great grandchildren, neighbors, friends and other family members.
Once when I was with him at Sun City Center in the hospitality room, a pleasant and kind looking lady stopped us and asked: Are you Bob Golden? And when he said yes in such a most friendly way, she said "Bob Golden, you are going to be in my book." I am certain that he was and most assured that even those who did not know him personally would read that lady's words and think, Bob Golden must have been one great Christian and I wish I could have known him personally. If they did, they would all be sad on this day of bereavement.
I loved you Uncle Bob and I know you loved me.
Your brother,
Jimmy

Dear ATD and cousins,
What beautiful memories I'll always have of our precious Uncle Bob. He and my Dad were like brothers and I know all the fun times you, Uncle Bob, my Mother and Dad had together.
He always had a story to share and it brings a smile to my face when I recall them.
We were blessed to have Uncle Bob in our family. He was a beautiful, loving Christian man of God and will be remembered with love by all who knew him.
