Obituary of John F. Dunleavy

Dunleavy, John F., 85 of Sun City Center, FL passed away November 25, 2011 at Sun City Center Hospice House, Ruskin Fl. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, on February 24, 1926. After 30 years John retired as a letter carrier from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a World War 2 U.S. Navy veteran, a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, The Sun City Center Mens Club, Elks and many dance clubs. He was also proud to be a volunteer installing Life Line Phones. He is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years, Elaine V. Dunleavy, step son, Richard (Abby) Austin of Greentown, PA, step daughter Sandra (Mark) Turner of Farmington, CT, a niece Laura (Peter) Dunleavy of Glastonbury, CT, nephews; Bill (Nola) Dunleavy, John (Finola) Eagan and Michael (Terry) Eagan. John is also survived by 5 step grandchildren, several other family members and several friends. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1239 Del Webb Blvd. West, Sun City Center, FL.
