Obituary of Joseph Vincent McNabb

McNabb, Joseph V. Major, (U.S.A.F. ret), 66, passed away on March 4, 2010, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer and in the presence of his loving family. Joseph was a wonderful husband to his beloved wife, Kathy, and amazing father to his daughter Kimberly Jo and husband Daxson Williams and an adoring grandfather to his grandchildren, MaryJane Elizabeth Williams and Mallory Joseph Williams. He will be sadly missed by many including brother, Tom McNabb, mother-in-law, Mary Jane Froebe, sister in law, Melinda Franz, sister in law, Pamela Banachowski and brother in law, Alex Banachowski, as well as brother in law, Douglas Froebe, brother in law Timothy Froebe, son in law, and sister in law, Patricia McNabb and many nieces and nephews. Joe spent 23 years in the U.S. Air Force after graduating from the USAF Academy in 1965, with two tours in Viet Nam and Thailand in the fighter Phantom and many assignments throughout the world. After retirement, he went on to law school at FSU, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He worked with Carlton and Field in Tampa for several years before joining up with his friend, Steve Marlowe and the firm became, Marlowe, McNabb and Stayton. After seventeen years of practicing law, Joe retired to his real love as an avid golfer. The family will receive friends 4-6 pm Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 1pm, Monday, March 8, 2010 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Blvd. Sun City Center, Fla. A reception will follow at the McNabb residence to celebrate the life of this wonderful man, and to give special thanks to all his loving and care family and friends. Interment with Military Honors will be at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado
