Obituary of Lee Thomas Conklin

Conklin, Lee T. 87, Sun City Center, Fl, passed away October 20, 2010. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Lee has resided in Florida since 1981. In WWII, LtCdr Conklin was a carrier qualified fighter pilot with the VC90 aboard the Steamer Bay CVE87 in the Pacific. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters. He retired from Shell Oil after 34 years. Lee was a very proud American and was also proud of his Irish heritage. Lee was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jean Conklin and two sons Patrick Conklin and Bobby Conklin. He is survived by his dear present wife Patty Conklin and five children, Nancy Simpkins, Lynn Coffin, Mike Conklin, Mary Conklin and Michelle Johnson. He is also survived by four stepchildren. Penny Lively, Scott Peatross, Lynda Patterson and Julie Peatross. He has twenty grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Lee was very much loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed by all. Beannacht De Leat (God's Blessing with you)
