Obituary of Ben David Razon

Ben David "Bievenido", Razon 74, of Manila, Philippines (previously Sun City Center, Florida), went to his final resting place with his Lord early Saturday morning, February 11, 2012. Ben died at Makati Medical Center (Manila, Philippines) from complications of several ongoing medical issues. He was a native of Pampanga, Philippines, born February 19, 1937 in Gua Gau, Pampanga, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rafael Razon. He studied accounting in the Philippines and became a certified public accountant. He immigrated with his family in 1970 to the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he became a controller for Monsour Medical Center (Greensburg, Pennsylvania). He eventually became hospital administrator up until 1979. In 1980, he and his wife (Dr. Flora Razon) moved to Cheraw, South Carolina and started their own Family Medicine practice. In 1984, the family moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where he started a similar practice for his wife and also started a successful land development business during the late 80's and early 90's. In 1996, the family finally settled in Sun City Center, Florida and established Medical Center of Sun City. He continued to be administrator of the Center up until his wife, Dr. Flora Razon, passed away in 2005. He then retired to Manila, Philippines where he lived with his daughter, Joanne Razon, and grand-daughter, Rachel Razon. He is a practicing Catholic, wonderful father, doting grandfather, and generous beyond measure to his family and friends. He opened his heart and home to many of his own and his wife's relatives from the Philippines who eventually found their home in the United States. He is survived by his Son-Jonathan Razon of Ruskin, Florida; Daughters-Joanne Razon of Los Angeles, California and Maria Josephine Razon M.D. of Tampa, Florida; Granddaughters-Rachel Razon and Addison Cuasay; Grandson-Alexander Joseph Cuasay; Sisters-Clarita Garcia, Rosalia Tanjuaquio, Lita Paras; and Brothers-Rudolfo Razon and Cezar Razon. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Flora A. Razon M.D. The viewing and funeral mass will be at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Ruskin, Florida on February 25, 2012 starting at 12:30 PM. Internment will be at Hillsboro Memorial Park in Brandon, Florida where he will buried next to his loving wife.
