Obituary of Richard G. Hines

Richard Grayson "Dick" Hines, 82 of Sun City Center, Florida and formerly of Damascus and Gaithersburg, MD passed away July 16, 2011. He worked for Kettler Brothers Homes, LLC where he worked from the early days of its formation until his retirement in 1988 as Vice President and General Superintendent. Mr. Hines was a skilled carpenter and took pride in building cabinets and homes for both himself and others. Golf was his passion and he enjoyed playing in tournaments with his wife, family and friends as often as he could. Locally, he was a member of Renaissance Country Club. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Beverly, a son, Richard D., (Verna B.) Hines, a daughter, Dana L.(Darryl M.) Herndon, two brothers, Donald Bell and John (Carol) Bell, two sisters, Delores Neal and Rosalyn Bowman, four grandchildren, Ryan Hines and his wife, Carrie, Jeff Hines and his wife, Kristina, Matthew Herndon and his Fiancee Diane Ogg, and Dara Herndon and her boyfriend, Jason Harrison and four great grandchildren, Avery, Macy, Josey and Anthony Hines and many nieces and nephews and his special friends, Pat and Clay Coburn. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla.
