Obituary of Sativa Gabbey

On March 21, 2024, Sativa A Gabbey died in HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.  She was 47 years old.

Sativa is survived by her mother Teresa Howell of Parrish Florida; her husband William (Bill) Gabbey; her children Ashley Gabbey, Aaron Hill, Gavin Hill, Eli Gabbey and Greyson Gabbey; and sister Elithea Burger. She is preceded in death by her father Fred Howell.

Sativa was born May 18, 1976 in Moultrie, Ga. She attended Colquitt County High School and Clovis Community College graduating on 2006 with an Associate Degree in Nursing, with honors.

Sativa met Bill through a mutual friend in 1996 and they married in 1997. She opened her heart and home to Bill’s daughter Ashley, adopting her in 1998.  Sativa later took in her two nephews Aaron and Gavin Hill in 2005, raising them as her own.  They also welcomed Eli in 2014 and Greyson in 2015.  Sativa enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, and attending concerts, but her favorite thing to do was spending time with family.

A Memorial/Celebration of life ceremony for Sativa is scheduled for March 29, 2024 at 11:00 at the Sun City Center Funeral Home.
