TANSEY, John G. “Jack”, 88, of Sun City Center passed away on March 11, 2024 at Brandon Hospital.  Born in Tampico Mexico, he was the loving son of the late Raymond and Clementine (nee Hecker) Tansey.  Loving husband of Anne K. Tansey for over 60 years and loving father of Kimberly Hayes (James), Michael and Sean.  Cherished Grandfather of Rebecca and Eric Hayes.

Jack is also survived by his brother James (Glenda), numerous nieces and nephews and is predeceased by his brother Michael and granddaughter Kylie Marie.

Jack’s family moved to Venezuela when he was a child and he attended Delbarton preparatory school in New Jersey and was a graduate of Dartmouth College.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany.  In his professional career, Jack held administrative managerial positions at Black & Decker and Pillsbury.  He would go on to establish his own business as a professional services employment recruiter, from which he retired.

A gentleman in every sense of the word, Jack will always be remembered for his warm smile and sense of humor.  He truly cherished time spent with his family, including many summertime vacations in Avalon, NJ.  He loved to fly kites for the children at the beach and capture as many memorable moments as he could with his camera.  Jack was a parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church for 18 years.  He was an avid reader, who also loved geography and gardening.
