Obituary of Judith Ann Wilcox

Judith Ann Wilcox, affectionately known as Judy, was born on May 28th, 1947, in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Surrounded by her loved ones, she peacefully passed away on January 20th, 2024.

Judy is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Robert Wilcox. Together, they embarked on a remarkable journey that spanned from the vibrant streets of Boston to the bustling city of Chicago, and from the serene landscapes of Germany to the charming states of Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida.

A loving mother, Judy is fondly remembered by her sons Jonathan, Mathew, and her daughter Meredith. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who were fortunate to know her.

Known for her compassionate heart and quick wit, Judy dedicated herself to finding humor in everything, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Her delightfully clever sense of humor resonated with everyone she encountered. Judy, a wise woman whose insights were sought by many, peacefully transitioned on January 20th, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Her husband Robert and children were by her side during her final moments.

Judy's life was marked by a deep passion for literature, spending countless hours immersed in the world of books. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, creating enduring memories that will be cherished for generations.

A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held on February 7th at 1:30 pm at the Sarasota National Cemetery. 

May she rest in peace, her memory living on in the laughter, warmth, wisdom, and cleverness she shared during her extraordinary journey through life.
