Obituary of Todd Anklin

Todd Jarret Anklin, 47, of Apollo Beach, FL, peacefully passed away in his sleep on 11 January 2024. His loss is completely unexpected, and his family is profoundly saddened.

Todd was born in Syracuse, N.Y., to Cathy L. Anklin (VanSteenburgh) of Irmo, S.C., and Arthur (Lee) Anklin, III, of Apollo Beach, FL. He graduated from West Genesee High School, Camillus, N.Y., and attended both Onondaga Community College, where he studied Art appreciation, and BOCES trade school of Syracuse, N.Y., where he learned Electrical Engineering (EE). While living in N.Y., Todd loved skiing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with his brother and friends. Upon completing his EE education, Todd moved to Columbia, S.C., where he worked as an electrician apprentice.

In 2018, Todd moved to Apollo Beach, FL, where he enjoyed spending time doing what he loved: eating fresh seafood, loving animals, collecting Blue Dog art by famed American artist George Rodrigue, working on his vehicles, and most of all—being around his family, especially his Nieces and Nephew.

Todd is survived by his Mother, Father, and Stepmother (Virginia Anklin); Brother Phillip (Serafina) and Nika and Eva Anklin; Sister Melissa Westfall (Perry Transue), and Kendall and Conrad Westfall; and numerous extended family members.

Todd’s wonderful smile and heart, so full of love and genuine care for others, will truly be missed by everyone who knew or interacted with him. The world has lost an angel!
