Obituary of Amancio Gaytan Sr.

Amancio Gaytan Sr., of Ruskin, Florida passed away on Decemeber 24, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He was born on Decemeber 26, 1944, in Zacatecas, Mexcio. He married his wife, Juana in 1972, who survives him. amancio, is also survived by sons: Amancio Gaytan Jr. and Adolfo Gaytan, daughters; Wendy Gaytan (Orlando Rivera), and Karina Gaytan (Gustavo Moreno), his grandchildren; Perla, Amancio III (Giovanni), Lisette, Abbygayle, Adolfo Jr., Aiden, Destiny, Sean, Isabella, Andrew, and Moses. His great grandchildren; Isaac, Camila, Jack an Dalton. 

Amancio is predeceased by parents, Jose and Maria, brothers; Francisco, Eleazar, and Adolfo, and sister Elvira. 

In his early years he would love to bake and was well known in Ruskin, for selling his delicious Mexican bread. He was an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan and loved baseball as well; after his retirement he loved to spend quality time with all his family and loved to garden. He was the pillar of strength, love and unity for his family and is greatly missed. 

Please join our family for his services held in his honor at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, FL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 4pm to 6:30pm. A Funeral Mass will follow the morning of Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission, 16650 US-301, Wimauma, FL.
