Obituary of Nichola Jane Perlot

Nichola Jane Pelot, passed away on Saturday December 16th, in Tampa, FL, aged 58, surrounded by family.

Nichola is survived by her loving husband, Russell, and her brothers Paul and Dominic.

Born and raised in Dundee, Scotland, as one of four children, Nichola was the beloved only daughter of her father Charles and her mother Moira, the younger sister of her big brother Philip, and the elder sister of her brothers Paul and Dominic.

She attended The High School of Dundee before going on to be awarded her bachelor's degree at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, and her master's degree at City University, London. She later returned to Dundee and completed further postgraduate studies at The University of Dundee.

Nichola started her career at The Bank of England, in London, and enjoyed 7 years there making lifelong friends, as she did at each company she worked with throughout the rest of her career with SRA International, BAE Systems and as a Director with Microsoft.

In 1997 she moved to Arlington, VA and in June 1999 married the love of her life, Russell. Nichola & Russell moved to Apollo Beach, FL in 2012 where she became an active member of that special community, making deep and lasting friendships.

While she loved to ski, travelled the world extensively, created magical memories on boats, and was a renowned chef to all who knew her, Nichola's passion was her friends and family, who all feel blessed to have spent time with her and to have experienced the love, laughter and joy she brought to those special friendships.

Nichola was loved by people of all ages, and had a special gift for nurturing and connecting with the younger generation.
Her wonderful smile and bright, indomitable spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Her Roman Catholic faith was a central and treasured part of Nichola's life, and we know she now rests in peace with God in Heaven.

A Requiem Mass to honor and commemorate Nichola will be held at 10am on Wednesday January 3rd at Saint Anne Catholic Church (106 11th Ave NE, Ruskin, FL 33570), with a Visitation in the chapel before mass at 9am.

After the Mass, Nichola will be laid to rest in Sarasota National Cemetery (9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241).
