Obituary of Timothy Newell Cloninger

Timothy Newell Cloninger, 79, of Apollo Beach, Florida passed away July 15th, 2023 at Kindred Hospital Central Tampa with his children Tim and Danielle by his side.

Timothy was born in Tampa, Florida on August 30th, 1943 to Newell and Geraldine Cloninger. He graduated from Hillsborough High School and the University of South Florida, from which he maintained a lifelong network of friends. An accomplished business owner, he was recognized as a leader in his industry and dedicated his career to saving lives through the prevention of medication errors.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents Newell and Geraldine Cloninger, his siblings Jim and Joanna Cloninger, and his wife Diana Cloninger. Timothy is survived by his children Tim and Sean Cloninger and Danielle Anderson; his brother Charles Patrick Cloninger (nickname for family was "Pat"); and his grandchildren Micah and Landen Anderson, and Hazel and Luna Cloninger. Timothy was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone.

A celebration of Timothy’s life will be held from 11am to 1pm at the Sun City Center Funeral Home on Monday, July 24th, 2023. He will be laid to rest at the Maryhill Catholic Cemetery in Niles, Illinois at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
