Sally Seeger

Obituary of Sally M. Seeger

Sally Maureen (Bessette) Seeger, of Sun City Center, passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 71. Sally was born August 5, 1951, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Being one of seven children being raised by a single mother, Sally chose to quit school as a teenager and get a job to help support her family. She worked as a machinist at Springfield Photomount before becoming a machinist at Sherwood Paper Products. While working there, she fell in love with her boss’s son, Kenneth Seeger, and they married on March 21, 1971. After residing in different parts of Massachusetts for several years, they finally settled in East Granby, Connecticut in 1988, where they would stay for 30 years. She retired and relocated to Florida in the Fall of 2018.

Sally was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and always put her family above anything else. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Sally enjoyed life to its fullest and did what she wanted when she wanted. She enjoyed traveling when she could and some of her favorite places to visit were Rye Beach, New Hampshire, and Niagra Falls in Ontario. She loved going to the beach and appreciated a good margarita. Sally was known to be generous, kind, and loving which made positive lasting impressions with everyone she crossed paths with.

Sally will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on and be cherished by her family and friends. A celebration of Sally’s life will be held July 7, 2023, with visitation at 12pm followed by a memorial service at 1pm at Sun City Center Funeral Home.
