Obituary of Gregory Tucker Ogden

Gregory Tucker Ogden died on June 16, 2023, in his hospital bed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. At the time of his passing he had both of his children at his side. He was 86 years old.

To his friends and family he was known as Greg.  He was born in Cape May, New Jersey on April 15, 1937, to Anne (Vangilder) and Andrew Gregory Ogden.

Greg was a father, a husband, a Christian, a scientist and a soldier for 26 years in the United States Army. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren deeply. He was a regular congregant at churches everywhere he was stationed, and loved singing in the choir as well as playing the organ. He enjoyed boating, fishing and skiing with his family and friends. Greg later became an avid golfer in his retirement years.

Greg is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mariapia, and his children, daughter Deborah Radford and son Kenneth Ogden and Ken’s wife Sheri.  He is also survived by and his grandchildren Travis Radford and wife Rachel, Kathryn Kraan and husband David and Kyle Ogden; and great-grandchildren Charlotte and Marshall Radford.

Arrangements are being made through the Sun City Center Funeral Home, and burial arrangements are being planned for a military burial at Arlington National Cemetery. Greg will be laid to rest in a private service at Arlington National Cemetery.
