Obituary of Joan Redmond Weber

Joan Redmond-Weber, age 93, passed away at LifePath Hospice. Widowed twice,  she was preceded in death by her husbands Warren Redmond and Elmer Weber.  She is survived by her children, Kathy Salecker and Michael Redmond, “ son-in-law” Paul Becker, granddaughter Janae Redmond, sibling Frank Thomas and sister-in-law Pat Thomas.

Born to Frank and Agnes Thomas, Joan was raised in Rosedale, NY and graduated from Dominican Commercial HS.  She lived and worked on Long Island as a nurse’s assistant and office manager for an Ophthalmologist.  Nursing was her passion, and she found the medical field fascinating. Joan was an adventurist and avid traveler.  From parasailing in Mexico to snorkeling in Australia she knew how to live life to its fullest.  In retirement she resided in Boynton Beach and Westbury, NY. At the age of 88 she made Freedom  Plaza her permanent home where she enjoyed social events, masses at Prince of Peace and gardening in her sunroom.  She will be greatly missed.
