Obituary of George Machmer

George John Machmer, 79, of Sun City Center, FL, returned to his heavenly home after a prolonged illness.  Born in Eden, NY, George was preceded in death by his parents, George C. & Marion F. Machmer.  George is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna Rae; son David Machmer of Erie, PA, and daughters, Amy (Zarosh) Bhagalia of Cicero, NY and Jennifer (Paul) Delaney of Four Oaks, NC; granddaughters, Ashley (Jon) Barnes and Dena Bhagalia; great-grandchildren, Emilia, Liam, and Finn Barnes; sister, Elaine Greenland of Pittsfield, PA.  He graduated in 1961 from Eden Central School and received his degree from Erie Technical Institute in 1964.  George and Donna lived in North Syracuse, NY from 1965 to 2011 before moving to Sun City Center, FL.  George’s memorial service will be held in Cicero, NY later this summer.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Smile Train at donate.smiletrain.org.
