Obituary of Amelia Ann Baxley

Amelia Ann Baxley passed away on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, at Sun Terrace, in Sun City Center, Florida.  Amy was 88 years old and is survived by her husband, Albert Baxley, and their children, Brian, Greg, Anita and Eric.  Amy will have a funeral Mass at St. Joseph in Dover, Ohio and will be buried at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek, Ohio.

Amy was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 20, 1934, to Doris Weatherill Zimmerman and Claude M. Zimmerman.  Amy was raised in Sugarcreek, Ohio, graduating from Sugarcreek High School in 1952 and from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio in 1956.  She married Albert Baxley on December 3, 1960, in Frankfurt, Germany, then moved to Wiesbaden, Germany, in 1962.  Amy taught 5th grade at the Hainerberg Elementary School in Wiesbaden, Germany, until 2002.  Amy and Albert moved to Sun City Center, Florida, in 2004 and were active members in the Prince of Peace parish in Sun City Center, Florida.
