Obituary of Dolores Marie Madigan

Dolores M. Madigan, after a sudden illness, died on July 15, 2021.  She was 79.  Dee, was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Giannelli, and was raised in Everett, MA.  She was the devoted and loving wife to the late William J Madigan Jr.  with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.  Dee, a proud supporter of our armed services, enjoyed volunteering for many veterans’ organizations including the Marine Corp League.  After retirement she moved to Sun City Center Florida.  Dee joined several social clubs including the Amateur Radio Club and Security Patrol through which she made many treasured friendships.  

She is survived by William J Madigan III and his wife Patrice, and Debra Madigan.  She was a proud and loving grandmother and aunt to many adoring nieces and nephews.   She also leaves her brother, Francis “Butch” Giannelli, sister Vicki Giannelli, and was predeceased by her sisters Diane Holmes, and Frances McCoy. 

On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center FL , from 8:30am – 9:15am.  Followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Boulevard, Sun City Center FL, at 10am.   Services will conclude with a private burial at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota FL.
