Obituary of Edwin P. Woods

Edwin P. Woods, Jr., 89, of Sun City Center, FL passed away October 16, 2020.

He served his country for 30 years and retired an Air Force Major. He was also a disabled military veteran. He volunteered for many years at the MacDill Family Camp in Tampa, FL.

Preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Gladys Woods, son, Lt. Col. James Woods, son-in-law, Gerrit Gorter, grandson, Pete Woods, brother, Ben Woods, and sister-in-law, Victoria Woods.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Melba Woods and his cat, JR Woods, his children; Lt. Col. Ed (Heidi) Woods of the UK, Kimberly Gorter of Little Rock, AR, Thomas Woods of WY, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, step children; Mike (Janie) Martin, Atkins, AR, Angie Popin, Atkins, AR, Carol (Katya) Denney, Russellville, AR, Tonya (Ben) Tidwell, Vilonia, AR, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at AR State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR at a later date.
