Fred, what a friend you had been to me in Indianapolis. We talked cars, flying, airplanes and just all around having fun. I will truly miss you and your professionalism, friendship and your smile. Gods speed my friend.

I will miss Fred, his big smile and sense of humor. I really enjoyed working with him at FAA.

I have had many special memories with Fred over 34 years as a next door neighbor and friend. All the wonderful outings as couples to our favorite restaurants, listening to him sing as he cut the grass, growing to love our children and his ever so easy laugh. When he started working from home his weekly call to me.....did I have good ice for him. This was his signal, I'm coming over to chew the fat and have a cold one with you (that would be cola) which happened every Friday afternoon. I remember the time I had a minor fender bender with my car and how upset he was (more than my husband). Oh how he loved his cars and pampered them. Every weekend out washing his pride and joy whether it needed it or not (and it had to be done just so). And then there's Bud. The cat that Jerry tamed. Fred was so hurt when he wasn't Bud's favorite human. For years he was the number 4 person on Bud's totem pole for likeability. But the last couple of years Bud came around and the last year it was Fred only for companionship. Oh how thrilled Fred was about this. When I was out of town and would call after a big storm to see how everything was (our homes) he would only talk about Bud. And how we talked about the airplanes and flying that he loved so much and missed terribly. From his early days with the Navy to his career with the FAA. I miss you Fred. Love always
