Obituary of Francis Ann Mattingly

Frances Ann Mattingly was born February 18, 1926 in Greeley, Nebraska. She was the youngest of four children, three daughters and one son, of Russell and Martha Wood. Frances was married for 51 years to Vincent Harold Mattingly. While Vince attended the University of Arizona, they lived in Tucson, Arizona. After Vince graduated with a degree in civil engineering, they moved to San Diego and raised their family in Southern California. Fran and Vince have four children, Janet, Ann, Russell and William, who died as an infant. Upon retirement Fran and Vince traveled across America with their trailer and settled down for a while in Mesa, Arizona. They lived for about nine years in a suburb of Guadalajara, Mexico before moving to Chickasha, Oklahoma. After Vince passed away, Frances moved to Sun City Center, Florida where she has resided until her death. She is survived by: her sister, Alene Mills of Nebraska, her brother James Wood of California; her children and their spouses, Janet and Bill Thompson of California, Ann and John Dyer of Oklahoma and Russell and Kirsten Mattingly of Florida; her grandchildren James Thompson, Jennifer Larsen, Joseph Thompson, John Thompson, Jaclyn Johnson and Jeffrey Thompson, Kevin Dyer, Meghan Dyer, Kellen Dyer, Mallory Dyer, Dylan Mattingly and Ryan Mattingly; and her great grandchildren Zane Larsen, Liv Larsen, Maeve Larsen, Ellie Thompson, Paige Thompson and Emma Thompson.
