Obituary of Robert W. Porter

Robert W. Porter, 85, of Sun City Center, Florida passed away December 24, 2008 in Sun City Center, Florida. He is survived by wife, Alta Porter, daughters, Lisa Jean (Robert) Luke, Laurie Lynn (Gary) Gniadek, 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Robert was a graduate of Ohio State University, 60 years in the Masons and Shriners, member of Coshocton Masonic Lodge #96, Araba Shrine Temple in Fort Myers, Florida, a life member of the National Grange and a life member of the Retired Officers Association. He retired from the US Army in 1966 after serving with General George Patton in the Bulge and in the Korean War, winning the Bronze Star and the Infantryman's Combat Badge. A military service will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date
