Andrew (Andy) A. Sileo, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Sun Towers in Sun City Center, FL.

This son of an Italian immigrant was born in Newark, NJ, on May 16, 1937, to Andrew and Caroline (Melillo) Sileo. After high school, he joined the Navy, where he met the love of his life, Patricia A. Gagner of Brattleboro, Vermont, also serving her country. Andy and Patti married March 29, 1958, and after discharge, they settled in Meriden, CT, from 1959 to 1984, raising four children in a humble little house in South Meriden. They later moved to Higganum, CT, and eventually Ansonia, CT, before retiring to Sun City Center, FL in 2011. Andy began a post-Naval career as a tool maker's apprentice at Pratt & Whitney, then as an engineer at Waterbury Farrel, International Silver Company, US Repeating Arms, before returning to Pratt & Whitney. He was a talented woodworker who loved to make furniture for his family and wooden toys for grandchildren.

Andrew is survived by his brother Thomas (Angela) Sileo, and four children, Andrew A. (Laurie) Sileo Jr. of North Branford, CT, Daniel M. (Caroline) Sileo of Greer, SC, Patrick A. (Jenise) Sileo of Sparta, NJ, Tania M. (Gary) Orlofsky of Ansonia, CT. His eight grandchildren also survive him: Brittany, Andrew III, Daniel, Stephanie, Paige, Peter, Nicole, and Alyssa, along with six great-grandchildren. Andy is preceded in death by his beloved Patti, his parents, and his sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Ettore Vecchione.
