Obituary of Joseph Romeo Noel

Noel, Joseph Romeo (Joe), 84, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away March 9, 2023, at South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center.  Born and raised in Bristol, Connecticut, he is predeceased in death by his parents, Romeo and Catherine (Thibodeaux) and his sisters, Rita Werner and Janita Stone.  Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marilyn (Schweitzer), his brother Raymond, his daughter Debra Statile (Dan), his son Stephen (Karen) and his four grandchildren Kyle, Alex, Katie, and Colby.  

Joe loved his country and proudly served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center.  He spent his 32 year career as a machinist working on airplane engines at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut, and retired to Florida in 2000.  Joe was a dedicated blood donor throughout his life, donating over 17 gallons to the American Red Cross.  He was always kind and instantly liked by everyone he encountered.  

A Mass will be held at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church on April 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Military Honor Service at the Sarasota National Cemetary.
