Obituary of Walter Wilson

Walter Phillip (Phil) Wilson 81, of Ruskin Florida, went to be with the Lord March 2, 2023, at PAM Specialty Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. Born in Russell Springs, Kentucky, February 4, 1942. He graduated from Howe High School in 1960.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Marine Wilson and his siblings Margaret Skaggs, Roger and Grady Wilson. His late wife Sara also preceded Phil in death.
Phil is survived by his wife Ann Wilson, son Wayne Wilson, and daughter Tiara (Teri) Holman, four stepdaughters Julie Ann Benegar, Debra Giacoboni, Denise Benegar, and Sheryl Meccariello. Grand children: Kindra Wilson, Brandy Wilson, Timothy Holman, Nick Holman, Autumn Mills, and Step Grandchildren Jeff Gillese, Melissa George, Stephanie Gillese, Jessica Simeath, Tiffany Aitken, Christopher Meccariello, John Meccariello, Stephen Meccariello, Eric Garrison, Danielle Schweinshaupt, he also has 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
He moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where he raised his family. Phil worked at Ford Motor Company as a foreman. After retirement from Ford Motor Company he moved to Ruskin, Florida.
Phil was very generous and a loving man. He loved his dogs, Baby, Buddy, and Patience and they loved him. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, golfing, oil painting classes, going on cruises, and traveling with the Sonshiners. He loved the Lord and his Church, First Baptist Church of Ruskin.
