Obituary of Patricia J. (Kiker) Willsey

On the morning of January 23, 2023, Patricia “Trisha” J. Willsey, age 78, was taken to be with God and her loved ones before her.

Trisha always had a positive outlook. She would easily light up a room with her cheerful and infectious demeanor and beautiful smile, never ran out of conversation, and made friends with everyone she met.

Trisha was born in Washington DC and lived in New Mexico, Germany, New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. In her youth she was proud to be an Air Force “BRAT” and stayed connected with that community.

Trisha loved sailing, the windier the better! She was an avid collector of vintage glass, pottery, linens, and art. She loved the hunt for something special at a flea market and could tell you the story behind how she acquired every treasure in her home. She loved decorating her home for Christmas (she had 12 Christmas trees) and celebrating the joy of the season with family and friends.

Love of travel was instilled in her by her parents, and she made adventure part of her life, whether it was regional summer trips with her Granddaughter or a transatlantic cruise. Her wanderlust was primarily for Europe where she found many friends. Her fondest memories were of Germany where she lived for four years and returned to visit, Scotland where she visited with her mother, Morocco for the beauty of the desert and warmth of its people, Turkey for the wonders of history and nature, and the Czech Republic where she fell in love with Prague.

Trisha was greeted in Heaven by her angelic committee which includes her parents Eleanora L. and William (Jack) Kiker, her sister Gloria Kiker Stawiarz, and her two nephews William L. Kiker and Mark C. Stawiarz.

Trisha’s greatest joy was her family who will miss her dearly. Trisha was a devoted mother to her only daughter Deanna C. Willsey (husband Jason Inman) and she adored her granddaughter Carina S Steady (partner Ryan Donley). In addition, Trisha was grandmother to Jason’s children, Madison and Zachary.  She is survived by her brother William L Kiker (wife Jean), brother Charles R Kiker (wife Margaret), sister Delores Kiker-Perry (husband Jerry), brother Rand S Kiker (wife Vicki) and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand nephews.

Keep her stories alive so she will always be with us.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023 at 2 pm (memorial service to begin at 3:00 pm) at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Dr, Sun City Center FL 33573. The family will host guests at their home following the service.
