I am so sorry for your loss. Don Ramon was a beautiful and hard working person and someone I am thankful to have met.
I will never forget how he saved my life from a snake. I was 15 years old and found a garden snake on the counter top of the kitchen and I stormed out the house to Wilson and Elys’ house. I was freaking out crying and he just grabbed a shovel and walked confidently to my house. He came to my rescue! I remember he went in there like a true hero and killed that snake with no hesitation. All I could think of was how was he not scared of the snake, but when he finished he was like “it was nothing.” It was something silly to be terrified of, so I’m sure he had a good laugh that day. It’s actually a memory I tell my students every year: how my awesome neighbor that just so happened to be a a family friend saved the day. Thankful for his courage!
I pray for peace and strength to cover the family during this time. Love you all very much!!

We all have certain memories with others that we consider to be special. For me it’s always been the little things. Papa use to treat my sister and I like one of his own granddaughters. When I look back and remember my childhood days I remember my mom dropping my sister and I off at mama and papas house during the summer. We would spend days there just playing and enjoying quality time with Nicole and Nathalie. How he cared for us and everyone else is a core memory of mine.
