Obituary of Nelson Irizarry De Jesus
Nelson Irizarry DeJesus was born June 14th, 1952. After a yearlong battle with Cancer he died Sunday December 12th, 2021. He was 69 years old.
He was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to Rufino Irizarry and Aurea DeJesus. He was the older brother to Rafael.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lucy. A marriage that many didn’t believe would last because they were so young when they married (especially Lucy). They had three wonderful children, Evelyn, Nelson Jr and Jose (Joey). He was a son, not a son-in-law to Jose (Toñito) Morales. He was a grandfather to 10 beautiful grandchildren, Nelson David, Jaime, Antonio Jose (AJ), Angelis, Malik Janiel, Diego Andres, Ian Emmanuel, Arianna Sofia, Xander Adrian and Nathanael Jose. These were his reason for living and working. He was proud of each and every one of them.
He worked at Lanco Manufacturing Corp for the last 44 years. That included work done at Lanco and Harris, Orlando, Lanco Costa Rica, Lanco Dominicana and several other Latin American countries.
He was a mentor to many over the years. He was loved and appreciated everywhere he went. The people he met were not only his employees and colleagues they became his family and friends. He was as happy to give advice on how to do their jobs easier as he was in helping them in their personal lives. Their families became a part of his.
To all his family, friends and colleagues the viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Sun City Center Funeral Home located at 1851 Rickenbacker Dr, Sun City Center, Florida.
Heaven has gained another angel. He will be greatly missed.
