I have known Barry and Lynn for about 45 years, meeting them in South Africa when we were all a little younger and loved to party. In SA at that time there wasn't any Television so we made our own fun, BBQ's, pancake evenings, wine and cheese and cricket matches at Debbie's Wonderland. All the children were involved in most of these activities. Many a weekend we would end up at Lynn and Barry's house for a Braai Vlas (spelling) which translates to "Cook Meat" and some cocktails or 10.
It was a simpler life and one I would not trade. We have remaind friends following each other to different countries by design or necessity. I have the most fond and happy memories of some of the antics we shared.
Life changes and we are all so much older but I will always remember Barry's willingness to help me, especially since my husband passed too. My love goes to Lynn and the family through this hard time, you have all been amazing. Here's to a special friend who I'm sure will find a heavenly pub and be dancing his legs off.
Linny

We will always remember our dearest Uncle Barry for his happy nature and his smile that always lit up the room. He lived his life as he danced, with enthusiasm and unabashed, positive energy. We will particularly miss his Donald Duck impression and his spot on bird noises. He could quite literally charm the birds out of the trees. So many wonderful memories of times spent together. We loved him so dearly and send all our love to Auntie Linda, Stephen, Janet, Tracy and the entire Swinscoe extended family. David, Julie, Angela, Bryan & families

I’ve known cousin Barry all my life. As with many families spread across the world, we met infrequently. However, each time, Barry was always welcoming, warm and funny. He never forgot his Liverpool roots and never lost that scouse accent. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with Linda and all all the family.

Barry was a great guy! I met Barry 2 years ago, he accepted me as a friend. We had a lot of great times. He was fun loving, enjoyed playing pickleball and watching his soccer games from UK. He loved his family. He will be greatly missed and we will meet again one day! Rest In Peace

Barry was a great friend and a good neighbor. I'll always remember the time we went kayaking and he dumped over. It was funny to see the look on his face as his hat and water bottle floated away.

My deepest sympathy to Linda, son, daughters, and the entire family. May your great memories of Barry comfort you at this time. I pray that God gives you the strength to get through this and God keep Barry’s soul in his loving arms.
I worked for Barry in 2004 at MetroPCS and I learned so much from him. Great person and teacher.
Rest in Peace Barry, until we meet again in heaven.

Life can be so cruel at times. First Keith, then Tim and now Barry. He lived his life to the full and enjoyed it along the way. Like us all, the road may have had some bumps and turns in it, but he seemed never to have lost his smiley face. My heart goes out to my extended family in Florida, so much love to you all. Love and miss you Barry x
