Obituary of Harry Leonard Foradori

Harry Foradori, 88, of Sun City Center, FL was called to his eternal rest on April 22, 2021 at LifePath Hospice House in Ruskin, FL.

 

He was born in Brockport, PA to the late Alexander and Frances Foradori. He is survived by his children, Michael (Patricia) Foradori of Aberdeen, MS, Karen (Dennis - deceased) Akers of Apollo Beach, FL, Keith (Alice) Foradori of Alexandria, VA, Jane (John) Parks of Prattville, AL and Mark (Lori) Foradori of Clifton Park, NY.  He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he loved dearly.

 

Harry was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorris of 63 years, son, James Foradori, daughter Dawn Willett, daughter Deborah Richards, grandson Michael Foradori, Jr and siblings Virgil (Beverly) Foradori, Alexander (Betty) Foradori, Jr., Mary (Leroy) Witz, Donald (Lynne) Foradori and Robert (Carole) Foradori.

 

Harry was born and raised in Brockport, PA where he attended Brockway High School. He entered the US Army in 1954, retiring nearly thirty years later as a Full Bird Colonel. While in the military, he earned: the National Defense Service Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Honor Medal First Class, Meritorious Service Medal, General Staff Identification Badge, Legion of Merit and Distinguished Service Medal.

 

He was a very charismatic individual and was always willing to serve others. After his final retirement, he was an active member of Our Savior Church in Cocoa Beach, FL. He not only designed and ran the food pantry for years, he also volunteered his time to help the homeless and provided Meals on Wheels through the St. Vincent De Paul Society.

 

He had lived in Sun City Center, FL since 2018 and has been a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church in Ruskin, FL Tuesday, April 27 at 1:00 pm. The Mass will be celebrated by his nephew, Father David Foradori.
