Obituary of Herman David Kleinhans

Kleinhans, Herman David, was born January 4, 1943 in Rochester, NY and died peacefully December 18, 2019 at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, FL.   He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a bookkeeper for Coulter, Fraser, Bolton, Bird and Ventre Law Firm, and Hafner’s Tavern and Restaurant. He was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9602 in Central Square, NY and served as a Village Trustee in Central Square for several years. He also served in many capacities at the former St. Michael’s Parish in Central Square.  

He is survived by his dedicated wife Jeanette (Riley) Kleinhans, his sons Mark (Ellen), Carl, and Josh (Sara) and his daughter Julie, along with two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is survived by 1 sister and 2 brothers: Sheila (Bob) Emmett, John (Karen) Kleinhans, Robert Kleinhans along with several nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center, FL on Saturday, December 28 at 10:00 am. A Celebration of Life will be held in upstate NY in spring 2020. Donations can be made to your local Fisher House or SPCA.
