Obituary of Ramiro Guerra, Sr.

Ramiro Guerra Sr. passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on December 2, 2019. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 23, 1950.

Ramiro leaves behind five generations of family that love him greatly and will miss him profoundly. His love and care was one of a kind; unique to him alone. Leaving us with many beautiful memories to remember him by and life lessons to follow. He worked as hard as he loved too; devoting his life to family and farm life. In simple terminology we have lost an elder of the family. A title he never gave himself but fit perfectly. Not elder by age necessarily, but an elder as the Bible describes. One who tends, feeds, guides, protects and cares for his flock. That biblical definition describes our beloved Ramiro perfectly. The truth is that he left us with so much good we can never put on paper all the great and beautiful things he was and stood for because he was so much more, but he’ll always be remembered and honored for being a strong family man that showed us all the importance of love, family and unity. He was the bond between generations past and present, not only keeping in touch with both but connecting one to the other to ensure that we never lost touch; always reminding us that family is everything. May we keep his legacy of unity and family going for many generations to come. Never forgetting where we came from or those that paved the path before us; carrying on his love and unity for La Familia Guerra in his memory.

He will be missed immensely by his wife Josefina Guerra, his children, Rosie (Gonzalo), Ramiro Jr. (Diana), Rebecca (Bruno), his grandchildren, Cindy, Gonzalo III, Thomas, Jennifer, Ramiro III, Anthony, Jason, Justin, Jada, Jaden, Ray Jr., Cassandra, Genaro, and his great-grandchildren, Ray III, Isaac, Eli and Zelda. His brothers, Martin Jr, Ramon, Ruben and Fidencio, his sisters, Ernestina, Elodia, Esperanza, Olga and Mary. And many nephews and nieces down to a great-great-great-great nephew.
