Obituary of Sixto Colon Rodriguez

Sixto Antonio Colón Rodriguez was born on February 8, 1924, in Adjuntas,  Puerto Rico. He went to be with our Savior Jesus Christ on July 31, 2019 in Sun City Center, Florida.

Son of Sixto Colón and María Rodríguez, husband of Carmen Ortiz, father of Elvin and Madeline, grandfather of Carmen, Waleska, Alexandria, Keliana, great grandfather of Laurianne, Ricardo, Brianna and Baby Sonneborn. Father-in-law of David.

Uncle, cousin and loving friend of many. He loved his family and friends with all his heart.

Sixto was proud to served the US Army from 1943-1946. On returning to Puerto Rico he continued his education and married Carmen in 1949. Worked with the Puerto Rico Iron Works as an accountant for over 25 yrs. He was full of life after his retirement and continued working until he was 93 yrs old with Gotay Construction Corporation in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Moved to Sun City Center in August, 2017. 

In the last two years he loved his routines which included Sunday lunch with his family, going out for ice cream and coffee, riding his scooter around the “neighborhood”, going to get his lottery tickets.
