Obituary of Dana Marie Slack

Dana Slack of Cottondale, Florida passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, FL surrounded by family.

 

Born and raised in Wimauma, Florida, November 26, 1967 to Cecelia and Luther Broughton, Dana was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Dana had times in life where it was rough but at the end of her life, she was outgoing, happy and finally coming out of her shell. Dana enjoyed spending time with her family and living her life to the fullest. She enjoyed shopping and having a girl’s day with her sister Debbie, fishing, and spending Sundays on the back of a motorcycle with her boyfriend Tres.

She is survived by her Father Luther Broughton Sr., her daughters Jessica (Chuck), Tiffany (Tyler), Brianna, her sisters Debbie (David) Mabry, Lana Courtney, Brother Luther (Megan) Broughton Jr., eight grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Mildred Hiott and Mother, Cecelia Broughton.

 

Visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at Sun City Center Funeral Home. Her service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Sun City Christian Center at 11:00am followed by the burial service at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church and Cemetery immediately after.
