Graciela Rada

Obituary of Graciela Rada

It is with great sadness that the family of Graciela Rada announces her passing, she went home to the Lord on July 22nd 2019 at the age of 88.

She was an exceptional Wife, Mother, Grandmother and was blessed to also be a Great Grandmother.

She dedicated her life to her family although she worked outside the home, her first priority were always her children. She was an exceptional Sister and the last to follow her five siblings to the Lord.

Her parents Nicolas Solano Vega and Betsabe Gil de Solano raised their six children with an unshakable faith and strength of character.  Their strength came from the strong bonds between them.  That is our Mother’s own legacy to us.

She was born in Colombia South America and migrated to the United States with her husband to whom she was married for the last 65 years and her three Children.

She loved cooking, baking and created works of art with her hands as she knitted or embroidered the most beautiful legacies left to her family. She loved nature and all she planted or took care of always bloomed or prospered.  Be it plants, animals or people all thrived and grew well under her amazing light.

Her faith in our Lord was unwavering.  She was diagnosed with terminal breast Cancer in 2013 and through her faith she was able to fight and have a good quality of life, until the Lord decided he wanted her with him.  She was truly an angel on earth.

She is survived by her husband Luis, her Children Edgar, Jairo and Nubia-Patricia, her Grandchildren Jairo-Luis, Jonathan, Nicolas, Michael and Jessica and by her Great Grand Children Kai and Ceci Rose.
