My condolences for your loss. I worked with Bret many years ago and was sad to hear the news of his passing.

My sincere and deepest condolences to Bret's family and dear friends during this most difficult time. And I am very sorry that I am unable to attend Bret's funeral, but know that I am there in thought and in prayer.
I knew Bret for over 30 years. In our younger days we enjoyed each others company -- often flying back and forth between Chicago and Detroit to visit. Yet over the years we ended up going down separate roads but life always found the way to reconnect us once more. And we remained friends for decades.
Bret will be missed by all those who knew and cared for him. He was a wonderful, kind, intelligent, and gifted man. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." I am sure our paths will cross again some day... some how!
Again, my deepest sympathy to the family and to those he loved.

Bret, was a wonderful colleague and friend to many of us at CampusWorks. He served our higher education clients with thoughtfulness--always looking for what was in their best interest.
Bret always had a smile for us and was willing to pitch in no matter how difficult the task.
My funniest memory of Bret is a business dinner he arranged for our colleague Ed and I at a Moroccan restaurant. We were enjoying the appetizers and the conversation when the belly dancers arrived. Ed and I nearly fell off our pillows (yes, pillows). Bret was so pleased with himself for shocking us and introducing us to the local culture in Boston! We've been laughing about it since.
You will be missed, Bret, by more people than you know.
